The Dropbeats DB-SECC-AC-605A is a turnkey AC Supply Equipment Communication Controller that transforms conventional IEC 61851 / J1772 chargers into fully ISO 15118-2/-20-compliant smart chargers with minimal integration effort. Combining the DB2605 EV Charging Controller—responsible for secure ISO 15118 communication, Plug & Charge, and bidirectional power transfer—with a dedicated baseboard offering Control Pilot / Protective Earth interfaces, RS232 connectivity, and intelligent power management, the 605A provides a ready-to-deploy solution for charger OEMs. Operating from 9–16 V DC and built for reliability (−40 °C to +85 °C, IP40), it ensures seamless interoperability, robust cryptographic security (CC EAL4+, FIPS 140-2 L3), and compact PCB-mount integration. 

 

The DB-SECC-AC-605A can also serve as a reference design for customers developing their own baseboard solutions, accelerating the design cycle toward mass production of ISO 15118-compliant smart chargers.
